Daniel Schumann

Daniel “Dan” Schumann, age 88, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 at his residence. He was born on December 15, 1936, in Sauk City, Wisconsin to parents Milton and Ella (Weber) Schumann.

Dan graduated from Central High School in Madison. He worked at Hult Chevrolet and for the State of Wisconsin at the McKenzie Center for 20 years. Dan served in the Navy Reserves. He enjoyed being involved in softball, bowling, fishing and hunting, he enjoyed working on his farm in his spare time. Dan was united in marriage to Kathryn Homman on August 6, 1960.

Dan is survived by his daughter Lynn (Bill) Graff and their children Kai (Whitney) Graff, Kirk Graff, and Keri (Dylan) Palchik and their son Killian Palchik; son Lonny (Beth) Schumann and their children Brooke (Chad) Jacomet, Brianna Schumann (John Sheehan), and Britt Schumann. He is further survived by his sisters Rachel Anderson, Sylvia (Hal) King and brother Jeff (Stephanie) Schumann; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn; parents; and his brother-in-law Robert Anderson.

A private graveside will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Marxville.
