Obituaries

Windsor – William J. McGann, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 8, 2018. He was born July 25, 1971 in Dodgeville, to William and Betty McGann. Bill graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1989. He obtained his associate’s degree from the Wisconsin School of Electronics, and later obtained his bachelor’s degree in business management. Bill married Leanne in 2000 in Madison. They moved around the Madison area, and established themselves in the DeForest/Windsor area in 2011. They adopted their son Bryson from South Korea in 2008, and their daughter Brooke from China in 2010.

Bill was a very easygoing and simple man. His laughter was contagious and he loved to make people laugh. He loved going up to his camper in Montello, to enjoy time with family and friends. He loved to take walks with his family and dogs, cheering on the Badgers and Packers, and drinking a cold one.

He is survived by his wife, Leanne; his children, Bryson and Brooke; his mother, Betty; his brothers, Dennis (Terri) and Lonnie (Colleen); his sisters, Kathy (Gary), Linda, Julie, Tammy (Mark) and Laurie (Gary); his mother-in-law, Judy; his in-laws, Mike, Joanna (Kurt), and David; many nieces, nephews and friends; and his dogs, Jazzy and Daisy.

He is preceded in death by his father, William, and his father-in-law, Don.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
