Obituary For Vernon M. Heller

MADISON – Vernon M. Heller, age 45, passed away on January 30, 2023. He was born on April 17, 1977 in Boston, MA to parents, Debra Wake and Vernon Williams. Vernon was a talented cook who loved to grill out and spend time with his family and close friends, he had a passion for music, he wasn't one to exclude himself from any one genre. Vernon loved watching his favorite sports teams the Green Bay packers and Eagles play, as well as, his favorite basketball team the Chicago Bulls. He also enjoyed watching nature documentaries. Vernon loved to reminisce about his favorite childhood cartoons which were Gi Joe, Transformers and Thundercats, and shared these memories with his children and friends often. Vernon preferred to be outside enjoying a sunny day and loved nothing more than spending time with his three boys. He often dedicated most of his time to playing board games and video games with them, going on bike rides, or just talking with them about life. Vernon had an infectious laugh and was never afraid to say I love you. Vernon had a compassionate heart and loved helping those in need. You could always catch him wearing his favorite sports team's T shirts or lounging around playing with his cat, Boogie. He had a passion for reading suspense novels, mystery novels and non-fiction war novels. He was one of the best people to spend time with and had a unique ability to connect with almost anyone. According to his nieces and nephews he was a really cool Uncle. Vernon is survived by his mother, Debra Wake; his three boys, Tyreece, Jaylen and Desmond Ostrowsky; as well as, his three older sisters, Alisa Rew, Heidi Williams and Ashley DiScala.

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
