Obituary For Timothy "Tim" Scott Quinlan

Madison – Timothy Scott Quinlan, 46, of Madison, WI passed away at home on December 3rd, 2023. Tim was born on November 7th, 1977 and graduated from Madison East High School in 1996.

In his younger years, Tim enjoyed sports especially soccer, football, and baseball. Tim loved watching his nephew and nieces in their sporting events over the years, had a great eye for shopping and enjoyed watching WWW wrestling and football especially the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints.

Tim was preceded in death by his beloved mother who never left his side, Janice (Dobson) Quinlan; father, William J. Quinlan; and half-sister, Cheryl (Quinlan) Hill. Also, his beloved rottweilers, Rocko, Spirit, and Aspen.

Tim is survived by his loving sister, Tina (Jared) Redders; and special nephew and nieces, Austin, Hailey and Emma; his half-brother Michael Quinlan and half-sisters Susan Quinlan and Stacey Okano all in Hawaii. Also, many other nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts.

We would like to thank everyone who has ever taken a roll in Tim’s life over the years to assist, care and make his life meaningful! His endless caregivers, hospital staff and physicians who worked so endlessly and tirelessly to see him have a good quality of life under the circumstances.

Tim and Mom, you left this world almost six months to the day of each other, this was meant to be, you could never live apart and you never will have too again. May you both be walking in heaven together!

“He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain and more, for the former things have passed away.”

A Celebration of Tim’s life will be held at a later date. To view and sign this guestbook, please visit: www.ryanfuneralservice.com.

Tim, I am at a loss for words. When you were hurt I remember Janice calling me at 5am to tell me what happened and I drove four hours that day to come see you at the hospital. I remember visiting you every week at the nursing home for a year. I would put in a movie for us and just talk to you. I have always thought about you and wondered how you were doing. I had so many good times with you and Janice. You are both missed so much. You were a great Man and friend. Rest in Heaven my friend and tell mom I say hello.

We shared a time in our lives where we put in work to become great, even when most didn't believe in us. Your infectious spirit motivated me to show up everyday and invest in myself. For that, I will always treasure you and the space we shared. Back when we believed we could do anything, we did. Until we meet again my friend rest easy .

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

James S. | July 2020

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Michael M. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
