Sherman George Geib was born March 13, 1926 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, the only child of Viola (Sievers) Geib and Frank Geib, Jr. Sherman graduated from Sheboygan North High School and the UW-Madison, where he majored in Agriculture. He also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married the former Kathleen McGuine on July 1, 1950. For more than 60 years Sherm worked as a Realtor and a real estate appraiser, specializing in rural and industrial properties. He was Managing Partner of the Geib Realty Group. Sherm enjoyed woodworking, fly fishing, gardening, travel and time spent with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by Gail Geib, Dan and Melissa Geib, and their children, Karsten, Katja and Kyrah. Sherman was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen, his parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family is grateful to Dr. James Bigham, the staff at Capitol Lakes Rehabilitation Center and Midwest Home Care for their kindness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 5313 Flad Avenue, Madison, on Friday, July 29, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be in the church gathering space one hour before the Mass. Memorials may be made to Babcock House (C/O UW Foundation, 1848 University Avenue, Madison, WI 53726), or St. Maria Goretti Parish (5313 Flad Avenue, Madison, WI 53711).
