Madison - Sandra J. "Sandi" Peterson, age 71, died on May 4, 2015 at Karmenta Nursing Home. She was born on January 2, 1944 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of William and Lillian (Roberts) Warren.

Sandi grew up in Rice Lake, WI and graduated from Rice Lake High School. She moved to Milwaukee where she attended cosmetology school. On May 23, 1970 she was united in marriage to Walter L. "Jim" Peterson in Delafield, WI. Sandi and Jim then moved to Madison where she started her career in real estate, beginning as a secretary and eventually getting her real estate license. Through the years she worked at Remax and Stark & Restaino agencies.

Sandi loved animals, her dogs and cats were very important to her. She also enjoyed sewing, but most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jim; son Tyler (Stephanie) Peterson; four grandsons, Jacob, Brenden, Alexander and Matthew Peterson; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Marge Galinski and her brother Joseph "Bud" Jerzewski.
