Obituary For Ronald Vincent Beaton

MADISON – Ronald Vincent Beaton, age 80, passed away on February 11, 2024 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born on May 31, 1943 in Eau Claire, WI to parents, Vincent and Helen (Rissler) Beaton.

Ron attended Regis High School in Eau Claire, WI. He was a Roman Catholic and an active parishioner of Queen of Peace Parish. He was a military veteran and was stationed in Germany. He was a gregarious father and husband. He enjoyed his family above everything. He enjoyed baking, fishing, hunting and cooking with his family and grandchildren. He was a master storyteller and he firmly believed that if there was a rule it was meant to be broken. That is what made him a great entrepreneur. He ran a successful real estate and property management company for nearly 50 years. He had a wild love for gambling. He took his family on travels all over the world. He was a firm believer in education and always supported his children in their hopes, dreams, and achievements. He was always warm and welcoming to absolute strangers with a firm handshake and embrace, making them feel like family.

He was preceded in death by parents, Vincent and Helen Beaton; nephew, Stephen; and niece, Crystal Angela Beaton.

Ron is survived by his wife, Barbara Beaton; children, Erin (Jeff) Herman and their children May and Rory Herman, Christina (Ronald) Ford and their children Lily, Gabriel, and Charlotte Ford, Kim Simmons and her son Zack Simmons, David (Amy) Beaton and their son Kyle Beaton, and David’s two older children Amanda and Hunter Beaton; sister, Andrea (Roger) Johnson and their child Tim Johnson; brother, Greg (Mary) Beaton and their children Jessie, Jon, Stephanie, and Margaret Beaton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 S. Owen Dr., Madison, with Father Jay Poster presiding. A visitation will take place from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the church prior to Mass. Memorials may be made in honor of Ron to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; stjude.org. what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Michael M. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
