Robert was born at Fort Ord, California on June 12, 1950, to PFC Reuben W. Bredeson and Clara D. (Schmid) Bredeson.

Robert graduated DeForest High School, class of 1968.

Robert started working at a young age for Keyeser area farmers, doing various jobs. Robert retired from Kraft Oscar Meyer in 2013 - after 39 years of service. Retirement couldn’t slow him down, so he continued with a position with Brakebush Brothers, Inc.

Robert worked hard and built a beautiful life for his wife and family. He was very proud of his grandchildren. He loved Mopar, hunting, fishing, archery, pool, euchre and was very proud of the years of service and dedication to the Poynette Bowhunters Club. Robert was hardworking, honest and treated everyone with respect. He always beat the odds and never gave up. If a neighbor needed help – he would be there. He could fix anything.

At the time Bob and I both smoked cigarettes we were working on the same paint truck. We were on a job that the barn was on the side of the hill and there was a Cupelo on top of a Cupelo. We had to trim and paint the last little Cupelo and after we were done we sat down smoked a cigarette enjoyed the view and then talked about how high up it was. Then we started making comments about if we fell off how far we would fall down next thing I knew I was scared I told Bob Bob says me too. We ended up Lily crawling off the coop Lo and the other Cupelo an the barn . We never talked about it after that though. I loved that guy and his family sorry I didnt get to talk to him much more before he left

The last time I saw Bob was at Merlin Dorman's celebration of life. Bob came up to me and my grandson, Jaden, and asked him if he liked classic cars. Jaden's eyes opened wide and he said yes. So Bob said I want to show you something and took us outside. He showed us his Mopar and then got inside. He started the car and revved up the motor as high as it would go. Bob slammed it into gear and layer rubber all the way out of the parking lot. The true Wild Man. What a last memory. Rest in peace, Bob!

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

James S. | July 2020

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Michael M. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
