I am deeply sorry to hear of Ricky's passing. We spent a great deal of time together in Junior high at Sherman and Gompers, but different high schools led us on to different paths from there. I have especially fond memories of bicycling, of borrowing a canoe from an uncle, of watching the Packer Ice Bowl together on television. The two of us were able to convince Gompers Junior high to offer the first 'home-ec' class for boys -- in this case the semester of cooking only -- which was well received and attended. I will always remember his uncle's Triumph 750 Bonneville parked in the garage, the meticulous workshop kept by his father in the basement, and the birdhouse for Martins, set atop a tall pole in the back yard. Hey, Ricky, let's ride out to Governor's Island, ok? May God bless and keep you.

Rest in peace my old friend. You made the 60's even more adventurous than it already was. I will always remember our trips to the capital fondly. From legislative hearings, to the war museum, to elevator races. You were a good friend. Julie Borchers

I'm so sorry Rick is no longer with us. Sending my condolences to his family. I will miss him at family gatherings even though I didn't see him much it was a joy when he was there. Rick always had interesting things to share and he was very funny! Every time I saw him he would ask how my Mom was and after she passed he would always say how much he missed her and liked her so much. That made me feel really good. Rick was very encouraging and supportive to me when we texted each other. You will be greatly missed....

My deepest condolences to Rick's family. Rick and I were friends during our teenage years (I grew up by Circle Park and lived near his uncle Peter at that time) and our 20s and then lost contact after he settled in California. I remember his beautiful face and his beautiful hair and laugh, and his sometimes blunt honesty. 🥰 When I was newly married and carrying my first daughter, he told me "Don't name her that, Emily is a beautiful name. You should name her Emily." And I did. I have never forgotten who named her, and he was right. I hope your life was happy and fulfilling, and full of love, Rick. Rest in peace. Sherry McBain Nomura

Such a good guy. Loved his sense of humor, creativity and quick wit. Never thought he would leave this earth before I would have one more big laugh with him. Will miss him! Jan Loiselle

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
