Obituary For R.G. "Sully" Brennan

WINDSOR – R.G. “Sully” Brennan, age 72, passed away at the UW Hospital on Friday, April 7, 2017. Sully was born near the shores of Lake Michigan on March 23, 1945 in Evanston, IL to Ray and Genevieve Brennan. He married his very dedicated wife, Jean Holdgrafer, in 1973. Sully was President/Owner of Johnson Industries International Inc. for many years. He traveled the world selling stainless steel equipment for the dairy industry. As a younger man, Sully was the President of the Racine Jaycee Chapter. Sully restored a 1963 Century Runabout wooden boat, his lifetime passion. He also was the proud owner/restorer of a 1957 Oldsmobile Convertible Classic. Sully enjoyed many years of sunrises and sunsets at his cabin on Green Lake. He was the patriarch of this family and will be greatly missed.

Sully is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jean; children, Sean, Bryan (Jessica), Erin (Chris) Lezotte, and Tim (Julie); grandchildren, Patrick (Shannon), Michael (Coral), Bryce, Brock, Bridget, Brennan, Kallan, and Tavin; great granddaughter, Hadley; brother, Michael. Further survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by siblings, Raegene, Hayes, and Noreen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 10, 2017 at ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 209 South Street, Waunakee, with Monsignor James Gunn presiding. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of Mass on Monday at the church. Burial at St. John Cemetery.

A huge thank you to the UW Hospital staff who truly are “Remarkable”, especially nurses Katrina and Jenn, who were with Sully for his last breath. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
