Raymond Joseph Spence, age 89, of Deforest, Wisconsin, passed away on September 5, 2023. Ray was born on June 2, 1934 in Minnesota and was raised on a farm.

Ray was married to Nancy on April 14, 1956. Ray and Nancy enjoyed golfing, skiing, traveling, and watching Wisconsin sporting events. Ray will be remembered as a devoted husband and father. He was kind, hardworking, had a great sense of humor and loved his family.

Survivors include: Nancy Spence, wife of 67 years; two children, Sandy Peterson (Bruce) and Patty Spence (Tim); brother, Jim Spence (Theresa), sister Joan Wittman; five grandchildren, Lyndsey Drake, Alison Drake, Travis Drake (Sami), Heather Freye (Jesse), Ryan Freye (Ashton); and three great grandchildren; Leland Drake, Collins and Bennett Freye, Liberty Roper.

Ray was preceded in death by; father and mother, James and Margaret Spence, a sister Mary; father and mother-in-law, Frank and Martha Mikkelson; brother-in-law, Wayne Wittman; sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Muffleman and Virginia Miller.
