Obituary For Patricia Ann Verhoff

Madison - On May 17, 2024, our family lost our mother, Patricia Ann Verhoff, at the age of 88. Best known as "Grammy" by her family, Patricia was born on June 21, 1935, in Chicago, Ill. After moving to Dayton, Ohio, and then to Columbus with her family, Patricia graduated high school, and then went on to study nursing at Mt Carmel Hospital in Columbus. On September 1, 1956, she married John Edward Verhoff. They divorced in 1979. She then opened Ha'Penny Bridge Imports of Ireland in Dublin, Ohio, which she co-owned and operated with her good friend, Maureen Murphy. After twenty years, she retired from her shop and moved to New Jersey, then Massachusetts, and finally to Madison, Wisconsin. She is survived by her children, John E. “Ted” Verhoff, Jr., Amy Verhoff Rady (Steve), Timothy Robert Verhoff (Laura), eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Emily Verhoff Rooney. Our mother gave us helpful and insightful advice and always her opinions on politics. She was her children's, grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's greatest cheerleader and a true force in our lives. A celebration of life is scheduled for August 31, 2024, from 4 – 7 pm at Maple Bluff’s Beach Park in Madison, Wisconsin. To view and sign this guestbook, please visit: www.ryanfuneralservice.com.

My God mother and aunt Pat was a wonderful woman who gave fantastic advice. I will always cherish the visits with her when I was a teenager. I regret that I wasn't able to see her one last time before her passing. She was a gem! -Julie Verhoff Pipes

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
