MADISON - Patricia Ann (Stoikes) Feller, age 81, died on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in the arms of her loving husband, Walt. Pat was born on January 8, 1934, in Whites Town, WI. Pat's family moved to Verona, WI when she was seven years old. Pat grew up and graduated from Verona High School.

Pat and Walt Feller went to high school together in Verona but formally met in the summer of 1952, when she was babysitting next door to a home at which Walt was doing some masonry work. Each day Pat would push the children she was babysitting on a swing and eventually Walt worked up the courage to ask her on a date. Pat and Walt married on September 4, 1954. Pat and Walt raised 5 children in Verona until moving to Madison in 1995.

Pat worked her entire career for the State of Wisconsin in the Department of Transportation, retiring in 1997. During Pat and Walt's 61 years of marriage, they were inseparable and shared many activities together including spending time with their family and friends in Wisconsin area as well as Ohio and Minnesota. Pat was a lifetime member of Saint Andrew Catholic Church. She enjoyed Brewers games, winters in Alabama and playing cards with family and friends, especially her sister Louise.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy (Bray) Stoikes, her beloved son Michael, brothers Joseph and Arnold, brothers-in-law Art Wild, Paul Aaberg, and Phil Coan, sisters-in-law Frannie (Connor) Stoikes, Ella (Feller) Wild and Dorothy (Feller) Wood. She is survived by her dear husband Walt, son Jon (Julie) Feller of DeForest, son Dave (Kim) Feller of Verona, daughter Tracy (Feller) Covey of Garrettsville, Ohio, daughter-in-law Kim (Leo) Janus of Fitchburg, and son Bill (Meg) Feller of Minneapolis, Minnesota, sister Louise (Stoikes) Coan of Madison, brother Ralph (Maxine) Stoikes of Verona, sisters-in-law Eleanor (Feller) Aaberg, Janet (Feller) Stoikes, and Helen (Darell) Wittwer, brothers-in-law Maynard (Betty) Feller and Bill Wood. She will be greatly missed by her 13 grandchildren, Michael (Crystal) and Brian (Marisa) Feller, Mitchell, Matthew and Marissa Feller, Tyler, Austin and Carson Covey, Ben, Alyssa and Mikala Feller, and Madison and Allison Feller, one great-grandchild, Kaylee Feller, and a multitude of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff at Meriter Hospital, Attic Angels, her in-home nurses, Father William Vernon, Dr. Deborah Bouschea and Kathy Schneider for their care of Pat in her last years.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at St. Christopher Parish-St. Andrew Catholic Church, 301 N. Main Street, Verona, with Fr. William Vernon officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of Mass on Saturday, at the church. An internment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Attic Angels or Saint Andrews Catholic Church.
