Obituary For Nancy Mae Joan Molitor

Nancy Molitor, our precious mother, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 31, 2024. Nancy was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to humble beginnings. Her mother immigrated from Finland as a teen and her father was a farmer and iron ore miner. Mom had six siblings. The day she graduated from high school she moved to Pennsylvania, where her older sister lived, for nursing school. It was during nursing school that she met Dad at a dance. They were paired up because Dad, too, was from Michigan. Mom and Dad married after Mom graduated and Dad completed his service in the army.

They settled in Wisconsin and had four children. Nancy is survived by two sisters Barbara Lucas and Linda (David) Repke. She is further survived by her five children: Renée Molitor, Jeanine (Bob) Dull, Connie (Michael) Moravec, Jeff (Krista) Molitor, and Patty Miley. Mom had eight grandchildren she adored: Jasmine (Joseph) Kirkpatrick, Sage (Ryan) Gaylord, Ian Moravec, Elissa Dull, Jed Molitor, Rienna Movavec, Ryan Dull, and Reid Molitor. Mom also had two sweet great granddaughters, Brielle and Rae Gaylord, and numerous other extended family members.

Mom loved people and definitely had the gift of encouragement. She faithfully wrote cards and prayed for everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She pointed everyone she came in contact with to the loving feet of Jesus, and we as her children rise up and call her blessèd. Her godly legacy will far surpass her life here on earth and she will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Mom's life will be held at Gateway Community Church in Middleton Wisconsin. The service will be held Saturday, November 9th at 2:00 PM, with a visitation/receiving line starting at 1:00 PM. Refreshments will be served afterward. Mom's church family was so important to her. We request that in lieu of flowers and other gifts that you would contribute to Gateway Church's “Making Room” expansion project.

Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10

I've know Nanc since I was 10, 64 yrs ago! Mom worked nights with her at Madison General. They had so much fun together. Our families became great friends. Daddy and Dave would go hunting together. Nanc bought me my first pair of high heels, even though mom didn't think I needed them. I will so miss her Christmas cards. It is so comforting knowing she is with her Savior. Even though we haven't seen any of you for years, you remain very special to us! Hugs.

Dear Renee, Jeanine, Connie and Jeff, I just learned of your mother's passing this morning. I attempted to send a memory already, but it looks as if it didn't send correctly. I pray for the Lord to comfort each of you in this loss. I will share a memory from the sweet summer I spent getting to know your family. My strongest memories of your mom were that she liked to get a sun tan and was a pretty "cool" mom. She was very warm and welcoming to me and clearly was very invested in her children's lives and enjoyed her bustling household. I will always recall the Bible Study in the basement and how the whole family studied the Bible together, something so amazing to witness! It was in your Windsor home that I surrendered my life to the Lord Jesus Christ! I will forever be grateful to your family for welcoming me, a desperately lost and hurting soul, into your home, where I got to get a glimpse of God's love and kindness. May the Lord hold each of you close as you face this great loss . It would be delightful to see you again and share all that the Lord has done in my life since that summer so long ago and to hear of God's faithfulness to each of you, as well. Feel free to contact me if you like. Sincerely in Christ, Catherine ( Wilke) Olson 952 857 9857

I enjoyed getting to know Nancy and her late husband for my 11 years at Gateway Community Church. She always had a smiled on her face every time we saw, hugged or greeted each other at church. She will be greatly missed.

Nancy was tip tops in my book. Kind and kinder in all of my interactions. And she taught that to all of her wonderful children. I send my prayers and best thoughts to her children, my cousins. I share your grief as I will also miss her. Leah Parks

Aunt Nancy & Uncle David led with kindness. They created a warm, loving and welcoming space every time we visited. They were curious of our lives and perspectives and willing to share their own. I haven't sat at their kitchen table in decades, but I can still feel that warmth. All my love to my cousins and their families during this time of remembrance.

Your mom & grandma was a good friend. We worked nights together. She was such a good listener, had a great sense of humor & always cared about everyone. We got together a few times for lunch with other friends after she retired & it was so nice to see her. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I remember Nancy well. She was a super nice charge nurse. When I worked my nights that they use to make new employees do, she was super nice. I had morning sickness almost 24/7, she was very concerned. Nancy was a very caring person for staff and residents. My deepest condolences and prayers to her family. God Bless you all.

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

James S. | July 2020

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Michael M. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
