He volunteered at Bridge Lakepoint Waunona Neighborhood Center, Agrace Hospice, Holy Wisdom Monastery, and was very involved in Social Justice issues. I met Mike & Rosie by dancing to the music of Mike's Irish band, Americay. Loved their music and Mike's unstoppable energy. He and Rosie always had a smile for me, and we often ran into each other in the Celtic Roots tent at Milwaukee Irish Fest. Sorry to hear about his passing. He was definitely one of "the good guys." --Steve Goldberg.

We are so saddened to hear of Mike's passing. It is so fortuitous that I was able to see him in late November. He was a wonderful immediate neighbor in our duplex, and I so enjoyed our visits over the fence, so to speak. Mike , rest in peace. Daryl Lund

My deepest sympathy to Rosie and family. It was indeed an honor and pleasure to have worked with Michael at the Bridge Lake Point Community Center and to have also met lovely, sweet Rosie. Michael was indeed a kind and gentle person who cared about this community. He sincerely hoped for and joined others in the work toward a new center. Perhaps one day, to honor him and others, that hope will be a reality.

My condolences to Rosemarie and the family. I graduated from Wabash College a year behind Mike, and was a fraternity brother in the Phi Delta Theta house. Mike was a beloved member of the Sunday Assembly at Holy Wisdom Monastery. He became an Oblate in 2012 and served on several committees, including Visioning for the future of our community. We could always count on him to bring a bit of Irish humor to our meetings! We will miss you, Mike!

Mike was a very special person in our lives, particularly to my husband. He was a faithful friend and weekly visitor to him for many months while he was dealing with the ravages of Parkinson's. They would sing Irish songs and tell stories together. Mike was a very special person and will be missed. My prayers are with you and all the family; these times are so difficult. Lila Hemlin

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Michael M. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
