Obituary For Michael Lee England

Michael Lee England, age 69, passed away on January 15, 2025 at the UW Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born on March 19, 1955 in Madison, WI to parents, Merlyn and Maurene (Martinson) England.

Michael was a 1973 graduate of Columbus High School. He married Connie Lee Christianson on June 22, 1974 at Lakeview Lutheran Church in Madison. He spent his career in maintenance, retiring from Weir Minerals as Lead Maintenance on April 1, 2022.

Michael always enjoyed tinkering, building and remodeling. He loved working on muscle cars, computers and home projects. He also loved reading, especially in the science fiction genre. He was interested in Astronomy and amateur/HAM radio. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and enjoyed family trips to Door County, Chippewa Falls, Florida, and New Orleans.

Michael was a dignified and honest person who will be remembered by many as one of the nicest guys.

He is survived by his wife, Connie England; children, Christopher (Kristine) England, Elizabeth (Mark) Bossenbroek; grandchildren, Oliver England, Kaylee Burdick, Kaleb Bossenbroek, and Brayden Bossenbroek; siblings, Larry (Michelle) England, Marcia (Tom) Brown, Lauria (Tom) Berndt, Cheryl Berndt, Melinda (Michael) Ladwig, Deanna England, Lee (Patti) England. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; parents in-law, Alvin and Ione Christianson; brothers-in-law, Sidney Berndt, Anthony Amato, and Terry Christianson.
