Maxine Grace “Max” Krengel, age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born April 11, 1935 in Wyeville, the daughter of William and Geneva (Biglow) Attewell.

Max loved her family and was passionately involved with rescuing English Bull Dogs for over 40 years. She bred, raised and showed them, making many good friends along the way. She enjoyed collecting English Bull Dog memorabilia.

Max is survived by her daughter, Toni (Mike) Gorman; ex daughter in-law, Linda Krengel; grandchildren, Travis (Danielle) Gorman, Danielle Gorman, Eric and Alesha Krengel, Tami Hammond; a sister, Phylis Fritter; brother, Richard (Faye) Attewell; sisters-in-law, Karen Attewell ; great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and two English Bulldogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert, Sr.; her son, Robert, Jr.; grandson, Troy Gorman; sister, Viola Wright; brother, Bill Attewell; and brother-in-law, Thomas Fritter.

The family wishes to thank Agrace HospiceCare for their tender care these past days.

A Time of Remembrance will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Avenue. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
