Mary Jean Garrison, age 93, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025. Mary was born on January 22, 1932, in Madison, WI to Michael and Gertrude (Flesch) Harrington. She married a military man and traveled the world with him while also raising their children. Her daughter, Catherine, joined the Air Force and her son, Ed, joined the Navy and Mary visited them wherever their assignments took them. After her Mary’s spouses’ retirement, she worked for WPS for 30 years doing clerical work. Mary touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

Mary is survived by her children, Catherine (Jeffrey) Mattie, Ramona Gasser, and Edward Garrison Jr.; grandchildren, Derrick (Azure) Mattie, Jason (Tarah) Mattie, and Ryan (Naomi) Mattie; great grandchildren, Alyssa Garrison, Spencer Garrison, Sierra Mattie, Keaton Mattie, and Hayden Mattie; sister, Patricia Miller; and sister-in-law, Lila Harrington. She is further survived by other family and friends. Mary is preceded in death by the father of her children, Ed Garrison Sr (Teresa); and siblings, Delores Harrington, Ron Harrington, and James (Mary Ellen) Harrington.

A Committal Service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 2:00PM at RESURRECTION CATHOLIC CEMETERY, in the chapel, 2705 Regent Street, Madison.
