Obituary For Marjorie Sue Thiede

Madison-

Sue Thiede, age 86, died peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023. She is survived by her children, Gail, Paul (Betty), and Ann (Dan); her grandchildren, Stephanie and David; her sisters, Nancy and Carol and their families; and her brother-in-law Bob (Karen). She was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate of 58 years, Bill. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11 a.m. at SALEM UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 502 Mark Dr., Verona. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Salem UCC in lieu of flowers. Sue found abundant joy in music, conversation, quiet moments, her family, and her faith. She lived her life with grace, gratitude and selflessness, qualities which were apparent to those who knew her for even a short time. She will be dearly missed by those who loved her. The exceptional staff of All Saints and Agrace are deeply appreciated and thanked for their guidance, compassion, and care every step of the way.

Ann & Family, I just found out that your mom passed away while I was in France. Please know how much I loved her & will miss her bright smile. Sending you all my hugs & prayers as you navigate life without her. Dawn Lingard

I worked with Sue at UW hospital. Always enjoyed Tuesdays with her. I think she enjoyed being connected and this was a way for her to do it while helping others. She always talked of her time with her daughters even if she didn't see you probably as often as she would like. I attended Bills funeral and she was very appreciative of that but it was easy to do when you are as kind a person as Sue, your mom was. I am sorry for your loss. Caroline McCourt

Sue was a volunteer at the UW-Hospital Main Information Desk for many years. She was so kind, caring and helpful. We always talked about what books we were reading and recommended good reads to one another. She was a lovely person. —Connie Pelton

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
