Obituary For Marjorie "Marge" Wells

Madison-

Marjorie “Marge” Wells, age 95, died after a long and full life, on July 1, 2024. After completing her studies, Marge began her career with the Red Cross and was stationed in Colorado. She eventually returned to Wisconsin where she met and married her husband of almost 49 years, John. Together they raised two sons and two daughters. Her family, faith and friends were her greatest joy, especially her 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. During midlife, Marge used her people skills to start a home-based business focused on nutrition and environmentally friendly products. She loved to travel, meet new people and to feed and pray for those around her.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband, her older sister and brother, several cousins, a special niece and many friends. She is survived by her children and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a younger sister, many nieces and nephews and close friends.

Her family would like to thank the outstanding staff of Agrace Hospice, especially “Soybean” and Brian, for taking exceptional care of Marge at the end of her life.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 S. Owen Drive. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Ryan Funeral Home, 5701 Odana Road and also from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice.

I was one of Marge's many friends in Shaklee, and as fellow business associates, what good times we had hosting Shaklee events in the Madison Area! that Marge & I were both nurses (RN's),we had special in depth discussions about health & medical conditions. But the greatest thing we shared was how we both saw people get well and regain their health! Rest in Peace dear, Marge. I'm so grateful to have had you in my life on this side of Heaven.

I just found out about this. I'm so sorry for your loss. Have many great memories of the meetings at her house. She was always helpful and supportive of her friends.

Marge was one of the kindest and most welcoming person I have ever met. She was very supportive friend for over 40 years. When tough times came up she would say, "let's pray for the good that will come out of this.' She was right. There always something good once your mind and heart are open to it. Marge was so proud of her family. My condolences to them. May they feel her presence, her love and the prayers that she has prayed forward for them for years to come. Marge will not be forgotten. Dear Lori and family, Please accept my condolences regarding Marge's passing. Marge was a very good friend and neighbor to the Ritacca family and was missed after their move to Florida. A special thanks to her for all her support the summer before our move in 2015. God Bless! Anna Ritacca Fishlove

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
