Lyles was a very special lady to me growing up. She was like a second mother. I spent many days at their house, Linda and Pat were my best friends. Lyles taught us how to polka and schottish in their basement. And of course I remember the chickens. Oh my!. Rest in peace dear lady. You will be missed. Lori Aebly

Though you've moved on from this world to the next, your light will forever shine through all of the people who had the pleasure of knowing you. May the afterlife be filled with baseball and laughter. You are loved, you are missed.

Sweet, kind, caring, genuine and always showing a pleasant demeanor and an interest in your well-being. She was a gracious hostess, a very good cook and boy-o-boy, I cannot forget those watermelon pickles. The best Aunt a nephew could have! What a lovely human being to have blessed the earth with her presence.

What a wonderful great-grandmother, and how lucky I was to have gotten to spend so much of my life with her in it. Many folks don't even have the luxury of knowing their grandparents, and I got nearly 30 years with my great-grandma. She was many incredible things, but the one that is most special to me was how funny she was. Even near the end, she never missed an opportunity to crack a joke or have a laugh. I'm absolutely certain that her sense humor was one of the many reasons we got to enjoy her for so long. She was an exceptionally amazing woman, mother, grandmother, and friend. The world was a little brighter for having had her and is a little dimmer without her.

Some of my favorite memories growing up were spending time in Dayton at Grandma Solberg's house. My cousins lived across the street from her, and we always had fun riding bikes, going to the river, or just being together as a family. She also took us camping to Governor Dodge State Park (A LOT). I have such fond memories of her with all of us going hiking with her and Bernice, campfires (and those adorable raccoons), swimming, etc. She loved all of her grandkids equally and always had open arms for us when we were able to come visit. I will miss your presence in this world, Grandma Solberg. Thank you for being an amazing presence in our lives. We love you so, so very much.

The best mother anyone could ask for, she was always there for all of us, words cannot express how much you will be missed. Go rest high on that mountain, you have earned it.

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
