Obituary For Lois Ann (Larson) Schneider
Lois Ann (Larson) Schneider entered her Heavenly home on December 16, 2024 at the age of 89. She was born in Highland township, Elkader, Iowa—the second child of Orvald E and Iowa (nee) Erickson on September 12, 1935. She was baptized and confirmed at Highland Lutheran Church, Elkader Iowa and graduated from Elkader High School in 1953. She loved sports and participating in them and also spent hours riding her palomino horse. Following her graduation, she continued her education at St Mary’s school of vocational nursing in Rochester, MN. Shortly after graduation she worked and married her high school sweet heart, Victor H Schneider on September 15, 1956 at the Lutheran Church, Elgin, Iowa. They moved To Bartlesville, Oklahoma where she continued doing private duty nursing. Their first son Mark was born on October 11, 1958. In 1959 the family moved to Gladbrook, Iowa residing there until their second son Brent was born, May 30, 1963. They continued to move where her husband’s career took them to Appleton, WI for seven years and then to Madison and finally Windsor, WI. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and active in the Mary Circle and served on CLCW Board and lutefisk dinners. She delivered Meals on Wheels for 10 years and volunteered at Central Colony for 2 years. She enjoyed seeing her five grandchildren participate in various sports and activities. She was a passionate Packer and Badger basketball and football fan. She especially loved flowers and enjoyed trying new recipes. In her earlier years she had a knack for writing poetry and had a special love for her 2 horses.
She is survived by her two sons Mark (Lori) Sun Prairie, Brent (Jill) Prairie du Sac, five grandchildren including Sarah (Beau) Barth Atlanta, GA, Amy (Jeremy) Schneider Woldt Sun Prairie, Matthew (Keylee) Schneider, (Columbus, WI), Abby Schneider (Phoenix, AZ) and Hannah (Alex) Wille Phoenix, AZ, five great grandchildren, Halle, Malachi, Cruz, Olivia and Lolly Lou and one on the way, one brother in Edgar (Janet) Larson (Independence, IA) and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor, mother Iowa Larson, father, Orvald Larson, brother Edward Larson, sister, Janis Brown and brother Howard Larson.
Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Christ Lutheran Church, 220 S Main St, DeForest. A visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held at a later date at Highland Lutheran Cemetery in Iowa.
