A eulogy from one of Lei's dear friends:
I am honored to share a few words about this remarkable man who touched the lives of so many.
Lei was a man who truly lived large and loved big. He was the embodiment of generosity, adventure, and family values. From his calm, laid-back demeanor to his vibrant zest for life, Lei made an unforgettable impression on everyone who had the privilege of meeting him.
He loved fishing, not just as a hobby but as a way to connect with friends and create stories that could fill hours of laughter. Those adventures were just one of many ways Lei embraced the people around him. He also loved the thrill of business, being as passionate about making money as he was about spending it. As a successful business owner, Lei didn’t just work hard—he knew how to enjoy the finer things in life. His motto was “go big or go home,” and he lived it every single day.
Lei cherished his family more than anything. He helped raise his sister Jenny with steadfast love and support. His two boys were his pride and joy. As a husband, he was a true partner in adventure and life. Lei and Shannon’s journey together began 22 years ago, growing through dating, marriage, building a family, and launching not one, but two successful restaurants. He was a provider, a protector, and the glue that held his family together.
Lei was a calm presence in a chaotic world, someone who could make life’s complexities feel simple. His energy, humor, and warmth created an atmosphere of ease and positivity wherever he went. He was never too busy to acknowledge someone, embrace them with love, and make them feel seen.
He also loved to travel, trying new foods, and seeking out new experiences. One of his proudest moments was traveling to China as a young man to visit his grandmother before she passed—a testament to how deeply he valued family. Lei was truly an example of what it means to be a great man.
Beyond his personal relationships, Lei reached countless others. With over a quarter-million followers and 19 million views on TikTok, he shared his life and humor with a global audience. His impact extended far beyond his immediate circle, touching lives near and far.
Lei passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity, kindness, and boundless adventure. He showed us all how to live life fully and love deeply.
As we say goodbye today, let us carry his spirit forward—living big, embracing adventure, and always prioritizing the people we love. Lei, you will be missed more than words can express, but your memory will continue to inspire us every single day.
