Obituary For Kyle M. Glauner

Kyle Glauner, age 38, of Madison, Wisconsin, died Friday, July 26, 2024, at UW Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Born May 27, 1986, in Madison, Kyle is the son of Louis and Mary (nee Corn) Glauner. He was raised and educated in Madison where he also made his home.

He worked for Tamarack Trails Condominiums alongside his father for thirteen years followed by fourteen more years at Parkwood Village Condominiums primarily doing landscaping which he loved. In-between in his off time, you could find Kyle bouncing at several of the Madison bars. He truly enjoyed people.

Kyle loved spending his free time gaming, and enjoying his many friendships, especially with his good friends since “daycare” David and Daniel North, who were always there to see him through the good and bad times.

He was the kindest, gentlest teddy bear as he was known by many and the most generous person with a heart of gold. Kyle will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and a friend to all who knew him.

Survivors include his parents: Louis and Mary Glauner of Madison, WI., his brother, Louis Glauner Jr. of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, nephew, Alexander Glauner of Sun Prairie, grandmother, Jean Glauner of Rhinelander, WI, uncle/aunt, Brett and Susan Grams, uncle/aunt Mike and Liesl Glauner and Bill Glauner all of the Northwoods, several paternal aunts and uncles and many maternal and paternal cousins in Wisconsin, Illinois, and many other states.

Kyle was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Fred and Evelyn (Vilt) Corn, paternal grandparent, Norman Glauner, and aunt/uncle Norma and Bill Hart of Coal City, Illinois, and uncle Terry Lindemann.

We would also like to extend a thank you to all of the doctors and nurses who tended to Kyle from the UW Carbone Cancer Center and the UW Intensive Care Unit with dignity and respect.

The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at Ryan Funeral Home located at 2418 N. Sherman Ave, Madison, WI 53704 on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 11:00 am until a service at 2:00 pm. A small luncheon will be available following the memorial service on-site at the Ryan Funeral Home.

Mary, I am so sorry to hear about your son's passing. We were good friends back in the day but lost touch as time passed. I was reading a Facebook post about Kori Hart having some health issues so that made me think of you, so I did a search and came across Kyle's obituary. Praying for your family at this difficult time. Perry and Mary Jo Major

Dear Mary and Lou, I send embracing thoughts to you and your family. Kyle's loss will leave a void I can't imagine. Kyle had such a warm sweet smile and a rare kindness, we're all blessed to have known him. I remember seeing him one day outside and he jokingly said "Oh, here comes trouble", I laughed and could have hugged him. He will certainly be missed and remembered as a huggable, wonderful man ~ his soul is surrounded in love.

To Mary and Lou and family. I am so sorry and completely devastated about Kyle. He was just the greatest person in the whole world and such a lovable, huge teddy bear. He was always willing to help people do things for people and he always had a smile on his face, good humor, and maybe once in a while you could get a joke out of him. I am going to miss his smiling face on the property. If there is anything that I can do or help out with through these tough times, please let me know.

Dear Mary, Lou, and family, I'm thinking of all of you as you grieve for a very special man. He brought joy to so many. I can only imagine with how fast his cancer progressed it must take your breath away. I spoke with Kyle, and he seemed so proud of the landscaping he was doing to make Parkwood Village Condominiums a place of beauty. I wish there were words to help mend your hearts and ease your sorrow. While Kyle is no longer here in this physical world, his memory will remain in your hearts forever. Warmly, Kate Ford Roberts

I so enjoyed working side by side with Kyle in my garden at Tamarack. He was so gentle with small creatures wandering through the garden. He always had a beautiful smile and a lovely sense of humor. His stories as a bouncer were so amazing. He was a good soul who will be missed. My condolences to Lou and Mary. Mary Jo Kopecky

Lou and Mary, I am sitting in Florida reading the WI State Journal online and saw the article about Kyle. My sincerest condolences to you and Kyle's family and friends. He was always so helpful with my condo's landscaping, especially the pruning of the crabapple in the front. A truly gentle soul. May you find comfort in the many hugs, words and thoughts shared about Kyle. - Georgia Pollard (formerly 242 GCD)

Kyle. I haven't seen you in a long while. But you were the kind of guy that would have made sure to say hi, give me one of your infamous hugs and big smile. Check in on life and ask about family. Even in a brief conversation you had a way of making people feel seen and brightening their day. You will be missed by anyone and everyone who knew you. I will hold all the memories I have of you to my heart. Until we meet again. Xoxo 💙

Due to living out of state, I only had the opportunity to be around Kyle a handful of times, but what I remember is the smile he wore on his face and how he could strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel welcome from the get go. I remember his laugh and how he smiled with his eyes. He absolutely adored his family, had a soothing voice, and just loved going out and being with people. Prayers to all that knew him, as being without him will be an incredible loss. ((Hugs)) Shelby Thomas

There are no words to offer that will take away the pain for the loss of Kyle. He was truly so happy and enjoyed life. As we got older as cousins we didn't get to see each other as much and our lives grew apart. We shared a lot of laughs and fun memories growing up at wish we could have had many more. Sending all our prayers and hugs to you. - Love Brad, Ashley, and Jack Becker

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

James S. | July 2020

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Michael M. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
