Obituary For Kristi Ann Fleming

Kristi Ann Fleming, 69, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. She was born on December 25, 1955, in Reedsburg, WI. She grew up in Loganville with her 4 siblings and graduated from Webb High School in the class of 1974.

She will be remembered most for her kind, gentle spirit, her love and respect for others and her hard work. She lived her life knowing the Holy Spirit produces “Fruits of the Spirit” in lives of believers. Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control were words she reminded people of often.

Kristi and Patrick E. Fleming were united in marriage in the beautiful setting of Durward’s Glen in Baraboo, WI, on May 26, 1979. Blessed with 2 wonderful sons, they built a beautiful life together. Kris was a devoted, loving mother; enjoyed memorable family vacations, camping trips, soccer and tennis tournaments, and biking and hiking in the great outdoors.

Prior to her retirement at age 59, she was employed as administration supervisor at Meriter Hospital - NewStart Outpatient Clinic, among various other roles earlier in her career. Her retirement years were enjoyed playing pickleball, spending time with family and friends, spending winter months at The Villages in Florida. Kris and Patrick were fortunate to travel to places throughout the U.S., but international travel was a favorite, making memories and new friends while visiting 5 continents and over 40 countries.

Kris is survived by her husband of 45 years Patrick Fleming; sons Ryan (Ashly) of Sandy, UT; Christopher (Alexis) of Wilton, CT. Her grandsons Cooper, Miles & Beckham, and her granddaughter Charleigh.

She is further survived by her brother William Schroeder of Fitchburg; sisters Lynn Teehan, Jan Schroeder of Madison and Sara Feldman of Atlanta, GA.

In addition, Patrick’s siblings Bob (Sue) Fleming, Don (Mary) Fleming, Nancy (Don) Kinser and Dan (Karen) Fleming, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Wilbert & Gertrude Schroeder, Patrick’s parents, Ivan & Esther Fleming; and brother, Dale Fleming; along with grandparents, aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 6728 Mader Dr, Madison. A memorial gathering will follow the service at the funeral home until 1:00 p.m. with refreshments and food. A private inurnment will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

James S. | July 2020

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
