Kevin never let this insidious disease slow him down one little bit, if anything it kicked him into high gear over the last decade. We worked lots of high school and college games together and attended UW hockey as season ticket holders for many years. Among the highlights of my friendship with Kevin was a whirlwind trip to England where we attended 3 Premier League games in 3 days in 3 different cities, topped off with a toast at the Cavern Club in Liverpool. His zest for life and commitment to family and friends was an inspiration to all. RIP my friend. Eric Bertun

I was saddened to receive the news about Kevin through a friend in the referee community. We extend our sympathies to Kevin's family and friends. Before moving to Arizona I worked many games with Kevin and it was always a joy. We were assistant referees for each other in the assessment process to both of us earning our State Referee certifications. I remember listening to a hockey game with Kevin as we drove home from a college match in Green Bay. Thank you, Kevin, for those good memories. Kevin always was at the top of his game, and he will be missed. Rest in peace, brother. -- David Brandfass, Sedona, Arizona.

My best memory of Kevin was is annual July 4 fireworks in the neighborhood. Great display. Kevin and I got our cancers about same time abit different cancers. Both of ours became uncureable. I only hope to be as brave as Kevin when I go to my final journey. As Bob Hope sang, thanks for the memories, I will cherish them forever. As Roy Rogers sang, Happy Trails to you until we meet again. Peace Kevin.

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
