Obituary For Kelly E. Henry
Kelly E. Henry, 56, passed away early Sunday morning August 14, 2022 at the Agrace Hospice facility in Janesville, WI. Kelly was born August 20, 1965 in Madison, WI to Sherry (Johnson) Tydrich and Daniel Carlson.
Kelly dedicated over 20 years to her employer, WPS, before retiring early. During that time Kelly became a fearless union steward, which coworkers trusted to fight for them. Shortly after retiring Kelly was diagnosed with cancer, and it was time for her to begin a new battle.
Kelly loved spending time at the beach, especially at Chandler Park, a family favorite location.
Kelly had a dream of going to Hawaii, and unexpectedly that dream came true and she and her daughter were able to visit Kauai and enjoy the abundant beauty and serenity. Kelly was a private woman that kept a small close circle of people around her. We saw a different woman than most were privy to. She was one of the strongest women around, a fighter to the end.
Surviving family includes fiancé Martin Ohlin, daughter Kari Henry, grandchildren Wesley and Ruby Henry, one uncle Dennis Johnson, nieces Lauren (Dylan) McCarthy and Candice Henry, sister in law Terri Carlson, and her fluffy orange tabby baby Sunny.
Preceded in death by husband Kenneth Henry, mother Sherry Tydrich (Johnson), brothers Mark Holpin and Todd Carlson.
A special thank you goes to Agrace, the in home hospice staff and the inpatient staff helped Kelly and her family immeasurably at the end of a courageous battle.
A celebration of life in honor of Kelly, will be held from 12-3pm, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Ryan Funeral Home, 6924 Lake Rd., Deforest, WI.

When you work together as long as we did there are a lot of memories that come flooding in. Kelly was extremely passionate, loyal, honest, and took pride in her high integrity. I was her manager but I considered her a friend as we shared many calls, texts and emails after we both left WPS. She loved her family and was so very proud of you Kari and the bond that you shared as mother daughter and friends. Fly high Kelly and Rest in Peace my friend! Dee Ann Hegi

Your role as a steward and my role in HR, often times had us disagreeing. Through every disagreement though, I saw your compassion for others and your fight. I so admired your fight. You cared so much for others and had the biggest heart. We've laughed together, cried together, trusted and respected each other and I'm glad I knew you. You can rest now, your work is done. Kari, your mom was so proud of you! You were her world and she lit up talking about you. Countless stories she shared with me over the years, beaming with pride with each one. Thank you for sharing her with us. May peace and comfort find their way to you.

I am so sorry for the loss of Kelly. I worked with Kelly at WPS. I worked in Customer Service and she made my job so much easier. She was always helpful and a joy to work with. Rest In Peace my friend.

We met when she reached out to me as a mentor. I so enjoyed getting to know her. She wore her armor and fought. A fellow gladiator!! My sincerest condolences to all. May the memories be forever treasures in your heart.

Kelly this is a very sad moment. You were such a great person. Fought hard for others and then needed to fight hard for yourself. So happy that you had the comfort of many family and friends to help you get through. Every time I saw you, you normally had a smile on your face. You have a BIG heart, may you watch over your loved ones to help them proceed. Take care my friend. You may now continue in your life with no more pain!!
