Obituary For Julius W. Bellin

DeForest-Julius W. Bellin, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg. He was born on July 4, 1918, in Nokomis, Il, the son of Antonio and Virginia (Bigarella) Bellin. Julius married Adeline Daniel on August 11, 1945. He served in the Navy Armed Guard during WWII. Julius was proud of being a veteran and was very patriotic. As part of the RSVP program, he would go to schools to speak to children about his experience as a veteran. Julius enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino and fishing. He liked to watch his favorite teams play, the St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers.

Julius is survived by his children, Barb (William) Ditscheit and Julian (Pat) Bellin; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; his cat Catico and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline Bellin; daughter, Catherine; and 5 siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, October 14, 2016 at ST. OLAF CATHOLIC CHURCH, 623 Jefferson St, DeForest.

A special thanks to Parkside Assisted Living, the staffs at Meriter hospital and the UW Clinic in Windsor and especially Dr. David Ringdahl for all the care they provided to Julius.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Julius’ name to Badger Honor Flight or Vets Roll.
