Obituary For Judith "Judy" Pritchard

Madison – Judith M. Pritchard, age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Middleton Village Nursing and Rehab in Middleton, WI.

Judith Marie Lindberger was born March 1,1939 to Gordon and Mary (Galvin) Lindberger in Rice Lake, WI. The family moved to the Madison area in the 1940s.

Judy loved to read and was passionate about animal welfare. She was Elvis Presley's #1 fan, and she loved watching the Badgers and Packers. She retired from the U.S Postal Service in Madison.

Judy married George Pritchard on December 29,1975 in Madison, WI. He passed away in 1992.

She is survived by her daughters Donna (Robert) Holmen of Kenosha, WI and Terri (William) Harris of Monona, WI, grandchildren Michael Holmen and Ariel Pritchard-Lasky of Kenosha, WI, and brother James of Madison, WI. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Gordon C. Lindberger, son Steven, daughter Christine, and grandson James.

A private service was held with immediate family. Judy's final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison, next to her husband.

The family would like to convey a very special thanks to her care team at My Choice Wisconsin, especially Kristine Huebner and Kelly Welch, her wonderful care team at Interim Hospice - Chaplain Gill Robertson, Erin Patten, Ally Gorman, Rachel and Wendy, and the staff at Middleton Village, especially Russell. With their caring support and comfort, Judy was able to live a much more contented life as her health declined in her later years.

She was such a beautiful person who was kind and thankful for everyone. I enjoyed talking and laughs with her and she with me. Sharing time with her was the best gift every day. I'll always feel very special as to having the unique chance to get to know more about her. Watch over us all Judy with your gentle kindness from above 🙏🏻

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
