  Dear Mike and Fran my sincere condolences for your loss. I regret that I will not be able to attend the funeral as I had planned. On Thursday I got my flu shot and on Friday I got the flu.

  Joe and I went to school together at St. James. He was such a good friend and one of the kindest people I have ever known. Always welcoming. His infectious smile is something I will never forget. Be at peace my friend!

  Jordy Matusiewicz

  Joe was one of my best friends in high school, and we hang out together all the time. I have a lot of fond memories of crazy stuff we used to do together like all the burn-outs we used to do outside of West High. His smile and laugh was contageous, and I regret that we lost touch after high school. I'll never forget the Mack truck hat he wore everywhere. He was taken way too soon, but knowing Joe I'm guessing he lived life to the fullest with his time. My sympathy to his wife, kids, and surviving family. Jordy Matusiewicz

  I went to grade school at St James with Joe. He was always one of the "good guys." Friendly, fun, and even watch out for other kids that might not have been as tough as Joe 😉 I think it's important for his family to know how he has touched so many lives in a positive way, by just being himself. He will be greatly missed

  All my love and support goes out to Joe's family and friends! He was one of best and I am honored to have called him my friend. I think one of my favorite memories will be from the house the guys rented off John Nolen drive (in the early '90's) where he would cook spaghetti on a grill in the backyard. I will forever hear his voice when he greeted me "Hey Mo!"
