Obituaries

MADISON/MONTELLO - Joseph C. Benzmiller, age 76, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital. Joe was born on November 12, 1938 in Madison, WI to Albert and Ethel (LeQue) Benzmiller. He attended Holy Redeemer Grade School, Queen of Apostles Seminary, and Edgewood High School where he graduated in 1956. Joe joined the Marine Corps Reserves after high school and served for 8 years. He worked at Andrea Automotive, Manchester's Department Store, and GTE where he retired in May of 96' after 34 years of service. Joe felt, while he worked at GTE, that he worked with the finest people in the world. He married Anne Fellows on May 4, 1968 in Sioux Falls, SD. Joe enjoyed watching the Packers & Badgers, fishing, and most importantly spending time with friends and family. Joe will be greatly missed by all.

Joe is survived by his fiancAC.e Debra Glaser; daughters, Lisa (Alan) Severson and Michelle (Chris) Witke; grandchildren, Andrew, Kaitlin, and Nicholas Severson, Jacob, Lauren, and Sophia Witke. Further survived by other family, friends and his puppy Dolly. Preceded in death by his parents; wife Anne; brother, Dr. James Benzmiller.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, March 6, 2015 at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield Street, Monona, with Father John Silva presiding. A visitation will be held from 4:00PM until 6:00PM on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave, Madison and again from 9:30AM until time of Mass on Friday at the church. Burial at Highland Memory Gardens.
