Obituaries

John Howard Dupuis, Madison, WI, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the age of 55. John was born January 23, 1966, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison to Howard and Norine (Kranzfelder) Dupuis of Verona, WI. He grew up in Verona and graduated from Verona High School in 1984.

He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in K-12 Education with a focus in art education. He worked at CUNA Mutual Group in Madison for several years. He later worked as a Community Services Technician for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

John had a wide range of interests throughout his life including cooking, music, biking, and tennis. He often was driven by a passion to find or create the best in whatever he pursued. He also enjoyed few things more than a high-quality, private pyrotechnics display—any time of the year.

He is survived by siblings Paul Dupuis, Bart (Jane) Dupuis, and Alice Dupuis; he was preceded in death by sister Mary Beth (Roman) Pawluk and his parents. His loss is felt by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

We always will carry his memory in our hearts.

A visitation for friends and family will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021 at Ryan Funeral Home, 220 Enterprise Dr., Verona, WI. A private burial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
