Obituaries

Madison/Green Bay-Jane Leiterman, née Goggins passed away on Wednesday December 9, 2015 in Madison Wisconsin at the age of 94. She was born in the roaring twenties, lived through the great depression, and later worked as a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse. She married Ervin Leiterman in 1949 and became a resident of Denmark, Wisconsin until 2009, when she moved to a memory care facility in Madison, Wisconsin.

Born on April 9th, 1921, Jane grew up on a farm in Maple Grove, Wisconsin as the fifth of seven siblings. Blessed with a quick wit and good sense of humor, she enjoyed games and was an avid card player, an especially strong opponent in both bridge and Scrabble. She was a devoted, long-time member of All Saints Parish in Denmark, Wisconsin. A generous, hard-working, supportive and loving wife and mother, she lived a full and successful life.

Jane is survived by her stepson, Russell Leiterman of Green Bay; daughter, Mary Leiterman of Washington, DC; daughter, Jan Zimmerman (Steve) of Madison and their children Anna (Jeff) Krahenbuhl (daughter Eva), Liza (Ian) Gatley, Eric Zimmerman; son, James Leiterman of Suamico and his child Aaron; son, Jerome Leiterman (Sharon) of Fond du Lac and children Adam and Evan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Leiterman (1985).

A memorial service will be held in the Agrace Hospice Chapel, 5395 East Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI at 11:00am on Saturday December 12,2015.
