In loving memory of Jacob Edward Latko Sr. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Jacob Edward Latko Sr., on March 15, 2025, at the age of 31. He was born in Madison on December 11, 1993, the son of Ron and Kendra (Mathias) Latko.

Jacob graduated from East High School in 2012, where he played baseball and basketball. Additionally, he played football for Warner Park and baseball for East Madison Little League. Furthermore, he enjoyed playing softball with all his buddies at the Willows for several years.

Jacob was a devoted father for the love of his life, his son, J.J. They would spend time playing sports in the backyard, reading books, coloring, playing cars and building towers. Jacob was a passionate animal lover. He grew up with many family pets (Halas, Jackson, Molly and Carmella). Anytime he had a chance to pet any cat or dog, he was on it. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He had a way of touching people’s hearts, making everyone feel welcome or lighting up a room with his smile.

Jacob is survived by his son, Jacob Latko Jr.; parents, Ron and Kendra Latko; brother, Christopher; grandparents, Mark and Vicki Hanson; aunt, Shannon Hanson; uncles, Ryan Latko and Nick Latko; and other family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. He touched the lives of so many, and we find comfort knowing that his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
