Obituary For "Jack" Gilman J. Stone

MADISON - "Jack" Gilman J. Stone, age 74, passed away peacefully at Agrace Hospice on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Jack was born on June 19, 1940 in Madison, WI to Gilman and Priscilla Stone. His first job was as a paperboy. He graduated from Madison Central High School in 1958. After graduation, Jack joined the US Navy, stationed in San Diego, CA on USS Mullany DD-528. He worked for IBM as a technician, firefighter in Madison for Station #3, Bartended in the Williamson Street area, an engineer at the Tenney Building, a LTE at The Coliseum, "Jack" of all trades at Kris' Custom Sewing and maintenance at Klinke Cleaners. Jack was a member of The Nomads Car Club, C.C. Riders and Madison Sail and Power Squadron. He was a founding member of the Madison Pool League. Jack enjoyed the Packers, Badgers, NASCAR, baseball, great dancer, camping, cooking, boating, swimming, horse shoes, hosting Rhythm & Boom parties, and blues music. We will miss your brats.

Jack Is survived by his children Duke (Jennifer), Cindy Morgan and Ray "Charley" (Michelle); grandchildren, Steven (Kendra), Damien, Marana, Amanda and Kyra; great-grandchildren, Anika and Gwen; sisters Cindy "Cyd" (Don) Deane and Roxanna (John); former wives, Kristine and Judy. Further survived by many nieces/nephews and other family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; son Leonard Gilman "Lenny"; brother, Leonard Harry "Lenny"; step-father Norman "Shimmel" Zander.

A service will be held at 1:00PM at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, on Sunday, April 12, 2015. A visitation will be held from 11:00AM until time of service at the funeral home on Sunday.
