Obituary For Helen Arms-Johnson

Helen Arms-Johnson, age 69, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024. She was born on November 10, 1954, to Albert and Vesta (Ward) Arms in Boscobel, WI. Helen’s mother instilled the importance of love and respect for all people. Helen married David Johnson on September 30, 2001, at Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners, WI. Helen shared after Dave’s death that her heart was broken because they were the most important people in the world to each other.

Helen worked with people with disabilities for over 35 years, retiring in 2017 from Central Wisconsin Center. Helen was a very social person and an avid gardener. In retirement, she enjoyed volunteer work at Olbrich Botanical Gardens, her “Ladies who Lunch”, water exercises at Prairie Athletics, and traveling. She was always up for a live music event, enjoying all kinds of music. She was a dedicated and loyal friend to many people.

Helen is survived by her siblings, Gloria (Michael) St Cyr, Cyndy (James) Funk, Gerald Arms, and many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Glenda Moon. Helen’s nieces and nephews were very special to her, and they considered her the greatest great aunt.

I had no idea Helen passed. I am sad to learn of this. I went to her Facebook page because I hadn't seen any recent posts and hoped to get together with her before summer's end. Helen took in my mother's elder dog, Rocky, when she became unable to care for him. A sweet friend. My sympathy to all who know and love her. Laura Regine

You have our sympathy. She was a big part of Glenda's life which is how we met. I've enjoyed doing Facebook with her.

I was so sorry to hear of Helen's passing. She was a great co-worker and left a lasting impression on all of us who were lucky to work with her. Helen was so kind and had a great sense of humor. She is missed.

Helen was a college roommate. She brought laughter and joy to our group. She always had a smile. Sweet, kind, caring are just a few words to describe her. We have stayed in touch over the years and I'm sure glad we did. Such a good soul and I am honored to have known her. Love you Helen.

Helen was my college roommate for two years. Four of us shared a small two-bedroom apartment in Oshkosh. She was loving and very patient with us (and our parties). She was an old soul who enjoyed her own company and a good romance novel. She was always ready to listen when we needed to talk. I was lucky to have known her and my sympathies go out to her family. what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
