Madison - Graciela Alvarado Gonzalez, age 52, passed away at her home on April 29th.

Graciela was born on May 21st, 1971, in Mexico City, Mexico. She was one of five children born to Felipe Alvarado Gonzalez and Enriqueta Gonzalez Lopez.

Graciela grew up in Mexico City, Mexico and graduated high school at Miguel Hidalgo. A Wisconsin resident for 17 years, she was a hard working and dedicated employee of Superior Health Linens for over a decade. In her youth she enjoyed participating in sports such as gymnastics, track and field, and volleyball. She also enjoyed drawing. More than anything she enjoyed being a mother and a grandmother, her happiest moments were in the company of them. She will be remembered by her family for her self motivation, her optimistic attitude, and her kindness. She was a strong woman that was extremely loyal to her family and you could always find her with a smile on her face.

She is survived by her children: Aranza (Aaron) Barlow Alvarado , Brenda Uribe Alvarado, and Quique Uribe Alvarado; one grandchild, Giovani Barlow; her husband, Moises Uribe Escalante; her mother, Enriqueta Gonzalez Lopez; her sisters, Patricia Alvarado Gonzalez and Laura Alvarado Gonzalez; her brothers, Adrian Alvarado Gonzalez and Felipe (Irais) Alvarado Gonzalez; her niece, Vanessa (Sergio) Alvarado Gonzalez.

Graciela was proceeded in death by her Father.

A private viewing will be held at Ryan Funeral Home on Monday, May 6, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 18, 2024, from 4pm until 7pm at the Warner Park rainbow shelter, 2930 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, WI 53704.
