Obituary For Glenn Irvin Keiner

FITCHBURG/MARSHALL – Glenn Irvin Keiner, age 84, passed away at Meriter Hospital on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Glenn was born on May 4, 1940, in Marshall, Wisconsin to Irvin and Meta (Marty) Keiner. He grew up in Marshall and graduated from the high school in 1958. After school, he enlisted in the US Army, spending 2 years in Germany, while there he saw Elvis Presley from afar. Glenn married the love of his life, Sherry Lee Tremelling on November 11, 1967. He worked as a lithographer at Perry Judd’s Printing and retired after 40 years.

Glenn loved sports and followed every Wisconsin team. He played baseball for a Home Talent Team, shot hoops with his son and was known as quite the “baller”. He also enjoyed Euchre, Cribbage, hot showers, obscure building videos on Youtube, never shied away from a sweet treat, and when all else failed, popcorn and Dr. Pepper was a suitable dinner. He would watch soap operas with Sherry and since she never had a driver license he would chauffeur her around and take her to The Pickle Tree in Deerfield for chicken wings and fries. Glenn was also known for blasting 80’s music. We still can’t believe he never got a noise complaint. Glenn was a great father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his granddaughters Sydney, Cassidy, Grace and Jenna. Dad, I know you preferred email, but I will miss our multiple calls each day. I will also miss our adventures shopping The Pig and cruising around Marshall.

Glenn is survived by his many family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Fitchburg Community Center, 5520 Lacy Road from 2:00PM until Full Military Honors at 5:00PM. In honor of Glenn, all attendees please wear your favorite Wisconsin apparel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. To view and sign this guestbook please visit: www.ryanfuneralservice.com

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

James S. | July 2020

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Michael M. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
