Obituaries

Gerald R. Kinzler, age 78, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, September 23, 2024. He was born on June 9, 1946, to Walter and Jane (Lund) Kinzler. Jerry married Cheri Quamme on March 19, 1975, in Madison, Wisconsin.

Jerry was born, raised and lived in DeForest, graduating from DeForest High School in 1964 and joined the Airforce until 1968. Jerry worked and retired from Oscar Mayer after 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. Jerry enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, slow-pitch softball, and cheering for the Brewers, Badgers, and the Packers. Jerry had very fond memories of going on fishing trips to Canada with his parents and other family. Whenever he could, you would find him helping around the farm.

Jerry is survived by his wife; children, Leslie (Will) Trojanowski, Erica (Brian) Ramsey; grandchildren. Nicholas, Lucas, Phoenix, Wyatt, Naomi; siblings, Sharyn, Rachel, David, Rose, Julie, stepsiblings Carl, Debra, Margaret, Sheryl and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmom JoAnne; sister, Rachel; and nephews, Charlie and Tyler.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at N2187 Kroncke Road, Poynette, WI.
