Eugenia (Jeanne) Killian, age 95, died peacefully at Four Winds assisted living facility in Verona, WI on December 29, 2023. Jeanne was born July 29,1928 in Milwaukee, WI to Eugene and Carola Gavin. She grew up in Milwaukee and married James R. Killian on July 9, 1949. After moving to the Madison area in the early 1950’s, Jim and Jeanne raised their four children in Verona, where they resided for many years. Jeanne was a talented seamstress, sewing many clothes for herself and family over the years. She was also very clever at fabricating many decorations during her lifetime. She enjoyed all kinds of music and sang in church choir and performed in the local variety shows in Verona. Jeanne’s age finally caught up with her in the last few years of her life. Jeanne is survived by her children Kathy (Bob), Karen, Kristi, and Keith (Brandy), grandchildren Teresa (Jon) and Tom, great-granddaughters Taylor and Camryn, and sister-in-law Sally. She was predeceased by husband Jim, sisters Bernadette and Dorothy, and brother James. She was also preceded in death by two sons-in-law and many sisters/brothers-in-law. A private burial service is planned.
