Esther Hilda Gustafson, 98, died peacefully Sunday, March 15, 2015 in Madison. She was born December 16, 1916 in Hudson, WI, daughter of the late John and Christine (Score) Moe. She attended Hudson schools where she enjoyed choir and basketball. There she met and married her husband, Orson, and they had two beautiful daughters. Working as a transcriptionist and secretary, Esther raised her daughters in Hudson and Milwaukee. She enjoyed a long retirement in her Milwaukee home and was an active member of Jackson Park Lutheran Church, where she participated in the quilting group. She recently moved to Madison to be near her daughter and grandsons.
Esther is survived by two daughters, Ora Kettenbeil, Hales Corners, Karen Ganje, Madison; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Esther will be interred in her hometown of Hudson.
