Obituary For Dylan Walter Bye

MADISON/MILWAUKEE – Dylan Walter Bye, age 21, left us too soon, after losing his battle with addiction, on Friday, March 17, 2023. Dylan was born on June 1, 2001 in Milwaukee, WI to Daniel Bye and Kimberly Arneson. He grew up in Verona, attending New Century Charter School, Savannah Oaks, and Verona High School.

Dylan had an amazing smile that captured your heart and a personality that never quit.

Some of Dylan's favorite fun things to do included listening to music, gaming, anime, and watching Star Wars. He really loved traveling, playing with his dogs, and helping people when they needed a hand.

"If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever."

Dylan is survived by his parents, Kimmi (Steve) Arneson and Daniel (Jerri) Bye; siblings, Joe and Julianna Cruz, and Adriana Arneson; grandparents, Kristi Newton, Henry Schwartz, and Kathleen Denny. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends in both Verona and Milwaukee. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Ricky Newton and Byron Bye, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00PM on Friday, March 31, 2023 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 220 Enterprise Drive, Verona. A visitation will be held from 4:00PM on Friday until time of service. Final resting place will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forever 15, a project that provides awareness and support to those at risk for fentanyl poisoning. A GoFundMe page has been setup to accept donations: https://gofund.me/c11bbab5

I am horribly saddened to hear this news. I have fond memories of Dylan as a rambunctious, high energy young fellow for several years as one of his teachers at New Century School. He always had an infectious, yet mischievous smile that kept many wondering what are you thinking about now. He was a kind soul without a mean spirited bone in his body. May that positive energy continue on its path, but I am saddened that it was so short lived on this part of the journey. Lee Lohr

I had the opportunity and pleasure to teach Dylan in middle school at Savanna Oaks. His smile would light up any room and his energy would keep you on your toes! Dylan was a kindred spirit, always searching for the meaning of things. He did have some sass at times, but he always came around with a reassuring smile that said, "I'll be better tomorrow." I ran into Dylan awhile ago and he greeted me with a huge hug and smile. It feels like it was just yesterday - Dylan's infectious smile and kind-heartedness will be a memory I will always treasure. Rest in peace, Dylan ❤️

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dylan Bye. We didn't know Dylan but we wanted you to know that we understand your grief and sadness. Losing a loved one is one of the most painful things in life. Saying goodbye this soon feels so wrong. Sometimes words can seem so inadequate during this time of pain. Pray for strength and comfort to come for you and your family. Something we have personally found to be of great comfort are the thoughts expressed in the Bible at John 5:28 "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his (Jesus) voice and come out". May God Jehovah comfort you during this sad time in your life.

Dylan, I can't believe this is real. It still feels like some sick dream I want to wake up from. Words cannot express how much I'm going to miss you, the inspiration you gave me. Your last words to me were "be your own boss". I'm going to miss you, but I know you will watch over me.

I knew him for a short time and enjoyed the couple of conversations we had about cutting edge technology.

what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Michael M. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
