Naples, FL/Madison, WI – Dorothy Parsons passed away on February 23, 2015 at her home in Naples with family by her side. Born on October 5, 1924 in Madison WI, Dorothy lived with the love of her life, her husband Bill, to whom she was married to for over 62 years. She was an active member of St. Maria Gorretti Parish, the Madison school system and several recreational projects. She was preceded by her brothers, David, George and Wally; and her grandson, Michael.

Dorothy is survived by her five children, Patricia Schmidt (Rod), John (Katy), Jim (Cindy), Bob (Mary) and Tom (Amy). She was a beloved grandmother to Sara, Seth, Shea, Somer, Kelly, Jamie, Sara, Amy, Tom, Scott, Drew, Cal, Abby, Sam and great-grandmother to Brenna Kate.

Dorothy’s interests included golf, walking, swimming, bridge group, bowling and most of all being with her children and playing with her grandchildren. She was an energetic person with a positive personality and a perpetual smile on her face. Her impact as a mother instilled the virtues of love, faith, caring, giving, humility and hope to all of her family and many of those who were blessed by her friendship.

Funeral services are private. Final committal will be in Madison, WI.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Dorothy's memory to the Jimmy “V” Foundation.
