MADISON - Dorinda “D.” Turner Lawrence, age 80, died on September 13, 2017 in Madison, WI. She was born to John Sr. and Mary Grace (Hennessey) Duby in Chicago, IL, the oldest of three children. After graduating from High School she became the Secretary for the Chairman of the Chicago Chamber of Commerce. Upon moving to Madison, she went to work for the Madison Water Utility, eventually being promoted to the position of Supervisor. Dorinda served as a member of the Board of Directors for Goodwill. In 1983, she married the love of her life, Richard Lawrence and had 33 years of happiness together. After retirement they moved to San Diego, CA, returning to Madison 11 years ago. As avid Badger fans, of football and hockey, they also cherished the 5th Quarter performances by the UW Marching Band.

She is survived by her daughter, Alexis Turner; siblings, Jennifer (David) Tippet and John Jr. (Bernanda) Duby; nephew, Kevin (Jodee) Tippet; and niece, Reagan Jean Duby. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017, from 10am until 11:30am at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 South Owen Drive, Madison. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:30am. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery.
