Madison-

Debra L. “Debbie” Davis, age 69, passed away after a long battle with dementia. She was born on January 10, 1955, in Elkhorn, WI, the daughter of Robert and Joyce (Hewitt) Monson. Debbie graduated from Madison East High School in 1973. She was united in marriage to Patrick Davis on April 25, 1987.

Debbie found great fulfillment in her years working at Central Wisconsin Center as a caregiver. She then went on to work in the Workman’s Comp Department with the State of Wisconsin. She was a longtime member of Lakeview Lutheran Church.

Debbie loved to cook and bake and won several awards for her baking. She also published recipes in local cookbooks and enjoyed reading cookbooks. Debbie had a deep love for dogs, especially black Labs. She also loved the outdoors and any activities on the water.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Pat; her children, April (Andrew) Algiene and Cody Davis; grandsons, Darin Davis and Niko Algiene; brother, Jeff (Julie) Monson and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Joyce; brother, Steve Monson; and her in-laws, Dale and Joann Dolfen.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Lakeview Lutheran Church, 4001 Mandrake Road, with Rev. Darin Wiebe officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at Lakeview Lutheran Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Heritage Middleton Senior Living – especially Megan and the other staff in the memory care unit for the loving care they gave Debbie and also special thanks to Nikki and the other staff at Agrace for the exceptional care they gave Debbie. Memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice.
