Obituary For David Mathias Ripp

Wisconsin Dells/DeForest

David Mathias Ripp, age 52 passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 as a result of a bicycling accident. He was born on March 10, 1964, the son of Kenneth Ripp and Janice Ripp (Beloungy). He grew up in DeForest and East Bristol and graduated from DeForest High School in 1982. Dave married Toni Clausen on November 8, 1993. Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Jade and Nikki.

Dave and Toni have owned and operated Club 23 Supper Club in Wisconsin Dells since 1993. Whether he was hunting with Jade or snorkeling with Nikki, there were always a lot of laughs. Dave was a handyman and came to the rescue of anyone who needed help. He was an amazing man and was a mentor to every kid he met. There are a lot of kids that looked up to Dave and will miss all his crazy antics. Dave had a way with animals. He had a pet grouse, Penny, who lived in his woods that he visited daily. Within the last couple of months, he raised 200 pheasants from chicks and released them into the wild to repopulate the area. Dave was a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend to many.

Dave’s favorite place to spend time was in Hayward at Sisko’s on the Chippewa Flowage.

Dave is survived by his wife Toni, daughters Jade and Nikki, mother and step-father Janice and Larry Beloungy, siblings Greg, Theresa (Gary) Schlub, Laurie (Lyle) Buchner, Joe (Wendy), Ron (Michelle), and Mary (Kevin) Hamilton; step-brother, Jared Beloungy; sister-in-laws, Tanya Clausen and Kim (Jeff) Lange, brother-in-law, Dell Downer; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Luella and Clifton Clausen, nieces and nephews, Mat Ripp, Darcy & Corina Schlub, Amy, Garrett & Emily Buchner, Josh (Sheree) Van Dinter & Racheal Ripp, Mason & Kendra Brunner, and Cole & Taylor Hamilton; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ripp and sister-in-law, Tina Ripp.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at ST. OLAF ‘S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 623 Jefferson Street, DeForest with Father Brewer presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9 am until time of Mass. what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
