Obituary For David E. Lohman Jr.

Madison – David E. Lohman Jr., age 61, passed away unexpectedly on December 7, 2023. He was born on July 4, 1962 in Colfax, Washington to parents, David Lohman Sr. and Nancy (Abbott) Lohman. David was a graduate of Madison East High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enlisted in September 1981 and was honorably discharged in September 1987. He worked as a Madison Metro Bus Driver for over 25 years, retiring in 2021. He enjoyed sports such as baseball, football, and hockey. He was a dedicated Milwaukee Brewers fan and a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. He was fascinated with farm tractors and loved train watching. David will be dearly missed and forever remembered as a loving, caring person who would help anyone, and was always there for his family.

David is survived by his mother, Nancy (John) Rolfsmeyer; his daughter, Cassandra (Steven) Lee; grandchildren, Velouria, Aidan, and Cadence; brother, Jeff (Laura) Lohman; and several nieces, nephews, a great-niece, cousins, other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father; and his daughter, Sabrina Lohman.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, WI. A visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2023, as well as, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service on Saturday at Roselawn Memorial Park.

At the funeral service, I heard many of Dave's loved ones telling stories of his generous and kind spirit, his sense of humor, and his willingness to show up whenever a helping hand was needed.
