Obituaries

MADISON- Darlene Rose Rossa, age 79, passed away on January 4, 2016. She was born in Austin, Minn., on February 10, 1936, the daughter of Milo and June (Miller) Schocker. She graduated from East High School and began her 39 year career at Oscar Mayer.

Darlene had a great sense of humor and will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and sister. She loved going to Ho-Chunk, where she was very successful, taking bus trips, and dancing to country western music. She looked forward to hosting Christmas and other family gatherings, where she made everyone feel welcome and comfortable.

She is survived by her son, Scott (Bonnie) Rossa; her granddaughter, Marci (Christian) Gerding; her sisters, Margery Dittmer, and Mary Ann (Mike) Kelly; and many neices and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Milo Gene Schocker; her sisters, Jermaine Faith Ring and June Christine Ziegler; and a niece, Terry Lynn Ziegler.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Danny Hartl for his friendship and support of Darlene.

Friends and family will gather at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016, at the chapel at HIGHLAND MEMORY GARDENS, 3054 Highway BB, Madison.
