Obituary For Daniel Richard Klein

LAKE MILLS – Daniel Richard Klein, age 50, a forever hopeful Cubs fan, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at UW Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. Dan was born on March 4, 1973 in Port Washington to Richard and Kathleen (Molling) Klein. He graduated from Port Washington High School in 1991. Dan later attended UW Sheboygan and then graduated from Concordia University. He married the love of his life, Jody Schenck, on October 12, 2002. Dan worked for several banks in the Madison area such as Anchor Bank, Old National Bank, Marine Credit Union, and Farmers & Merchants Union Bank. Besides being a Cubs fan, baseball was his passion along with history, trains, and riling Jody and Abby up. To Dan, there was no such thing as a stranger, there were just friends he hadn’t met yet.

Dan is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jody; daughter, Abby; and sisters, Kay (Jerry) Turenne and Lorrie (David) Lloyd. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A private burial will be held at Natural Path Sanctuary. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

The family would like to thank the UW Hospital transplant floor and ICU for their compassionate care. Please consider giving the gift of life and being an organ donor. To view and sign this guestbook, please visit: www.ryanfuneralservice.com

My deepest and dearest sympathy to you and Abby! Dan was such a gentle soul! I have many memories of Dan and our childhood growing up on Chestnut street. Kay, Dan and Lori lived across the street. I still have memories of Dan swinging on the park swing. He also always wanted to play buckets with us. All very good memories. what our families say

Tiffany Foster went out of her way to fulfill all my requests, talked me through problems I was facing, and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible when I was a wreck, totally crushed, and I thank her with all of my heart for that.

The professional manner of the staff made a difficult time a little easier.

Lynda R. | July 2020

Services provided for both parents were perfect, on time, and no issues. Brenda is awesome and strong!

Michael M. | July 2020

Skyler was absolutely amazing. She was so caring and helpful through this whole process. She even went above and beyond to meet with us in DeForest and even to make a stop at our home to drop off or pick up anything needed. While it was a small gesture, it was so helpful and greatly appreciated.
