My name is Charlene. I just heard of Chris's passing today. Chris's passion for helping me through my knee replacement surgery and the energy that he had for helping made such a big difference. Just seeing his smile made me feel better. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. I will be making a donation to the Human Society in his memory.

This is Linda. Today I pay tribute to my most recent physical therapist at University of Wisconsin health. I had Christopher Lins for shoulder PT, then spinal PT, then aqua PT. That's no less than eight sessions for each prescription. You might say that Christopher and I got to know each other pretty well and when he just charged me 3 weeks ago, I thanked him profusely for literally changing my life. It was aqua therapy that actually did it, but all the rest helped for sure, mostly because I chose to be compliant. I didn't need to be compliant for aqua therapy. I've always loved to swim, and the 90° therapy pool didn't hurt. Anyway I digress. I found out that my very able, 36-year-old, physical therapist, died last Sunday, of unexplained sudden cardiac arrest. It's hard to talk text too create this post. But again I say thank you Chris, I loved working with you, and I know that the next time I needed someone, it would have likely been you, I would have requested you. So I know you are already resting in peace because I know about the kindness in your heart and soul. You worked with and helped so many people at University of Wisconsin, and everywhere else you shared your soul and talents. I grieve with your family and friends and colleagues. And I grieve. To each and every family and friend of Chris; My heartfelt condolences to you. I feel so blessed that I got to work with Chris. Chris was our Rehab Director a few years ago at The Villa At Middleton Village. He was like no other manager. Chris used his time wisely to create a positive and low-key work environment. He did not spend his time micromanaging staff. He somehow orchestrated a plan that benefited the care of residents and staff. Chris was so easy to talk to. It was not unusual to see him stopped in the hallway surrounded by geriatric residents who wanted to "work out" with him. I can still hear his laugh and "what's up?" phrase. Chris will be remembered for all of the accomplishments he made in his 36 years on this earth. Those memories will keep him in our lives forever!!

To Chris's parents, Years ago I had your son in Geometry class. I recently had to start physical therapy after an operation and was assigned Christopher Lins. I recognized the name, but not his face on the clinic website. Masks were still required in medical clinics. I get to my appointment and realize after seeing him in person that indeed I had been one of his teachers over twenty years ago. It was an interesting experience having one of my students now being my teacher. What a wonderful young man you raised. He was able to live a full and fulfilling life in his short time on earth. My deepest condolences to out to the Lins family and to our community. I had the honor being a coaching colleague of Chris' and I am heartbroken for the loss of a young man of character and passion. He will continue to positively impact the lives he touched, for such a fire cannot be so easily extinguished. Kevin Attaway

I helped coach Chris and his class for 2 years at East. It was great fun and I happened to be the backfield coach. Chris was a fullback and as good as there was. Beside being a wonderful person, he was made to play. One game he had a long run negated by a bad call. No problem, he took the ball and repeated the touchdown run. I wasn't surprised. I'm so sorry for the loss of a wonderful person.
